A prescription for a new way of living

Question: What is the Green New Deal?  Answer: The green new deal is a plan or a prescription to change our economy from a carbon-based system to a renewable system.  Granted this will be difficult for the US and other modern 1st world countries.  This is why the political system is creating a barrier to and in denial of Climate change or Global warming.  In short, the US has the most to lose. Stressed economies and smaller economies will however have an easier time weathering the changes but will not be spared some hardships. More about this later.

First off, I would like to point out that this site is for constructive ideas and positive feedback as pollution is threating all life on the earth is a truly serious problem.  There are some beliefs/opinions that are contrary to this notion. This can be understood as disturbance or acceptance of concept may not be accepted until fully understood and can be equated to the five stages of grief. The US political system is following and amplifying those emotions; the primary being denial.

This site will bring some logical insight to a way of living and adjusting to a different way of thinking.  There will be some theory, perspective and some deep wisdom set forth by great thinkers’ past and present to help understand and to motivate.  Guidelines on a scale from personal challenges to municipalities and up.

Climate change is a difficult topic, not only as it will disrupt our great living experiment in capitalism but will disrupt the most meager and poor.

First off to put climate change into a unique perspective. The most obvious is the wealth that the carbon economy has provided. There are many countries and individuals that have made vast fortunes off of fossil energy. These entities will not give up anything easily and will do most anything to protect that wealth/income.  The other end of the spectrum is a part of human existence that is rarely seen. The nomadic and meager lifestyles of isolated tribes and nomads. Imagine living a life cooking using cow dung. I have seen this in northern India. Now think about telling the mother that has cooked for her life over cow dung that she cannot use CNG. How fair can we or have we been to our fellow humans.

With that mostly everyone in a 1st world country has everything they need the rest is wants!

As this blog and site develops, I will be adding concepts and information to nudge and facilitate possible solutions to this crisis.
